SITE SURVEYS

Site surveys are carried out for a multitude of reasons but probably the most common is prior to an impending development. Sadly, planning consent will often be achieved with very little input from the land surveyor even from the perpsective of a quick boundary check to make sure the design will fit on the site.

However, as soon as planning has been granted, developers and their architects need a more detailed survey to confirm site levels and dimensions. Utility surveys are often required which are underpinned by an accurate site survey locating surface inspection covers and manholes.
